chronic kidney disease It is a condition in which the kidneys' ability to filter waste is reduced, with a waste filtration rate of less than < 60 ml/min/1.72 m2 for more than 3 months.
5 stages according to the glomerular filtration rate

stage 1 | >90 | Have normal kidney function, but may have a slight protein leakage disorder, red blood cells in the urine, or kidney stones. |
stage 2 | 90-60 | Have normal kidney function, but may have a slight protein leakage disorder, red blood cells in the urine, or kidney stones. |
stage3a | 45-59 | Filtration rate slightly reduced |
stage3b | 30-44 | Filtration rate moderate reduced |
stage4 | 15-29 |
Filtration rate grately reduced |
stage 5 | <15 | End stage kidney disease |
Common causes of chronic kidney failure
1. Type 1 and type 2 diabetes that cannot control blood sugar, such as accumulated sugar more than 8 or more than 180 mg/dl, are at high risk of developing diabetic nephropathy.
2. High blood pressure that cannot control blood pressure less than 130/80 mmHg.
3. Polycystic kidney disease.
4. Taking chronic painkillers.
5. Kidney stones.
6. Kidney inflammation, such as lupus nephritis.
The goal treatment is to slow down kidney failure as much as possible.
1. Treat the cause of kidney failure.
2. Drink enough clean water.
3. Reduce sodium intake, such as salty and processed foods.
4. Avoid taking unnecessary painkillers and dietary supplements.
5. Quit smoking.
